Climb aboard with us for sessioning multiple pow runs, backcountry drop offs, or peak hiking in Alaska’s wild Chugach Mountain powder playground. Join us for access to awesome skiing, snowboarding, kite boarding, paragliding, ice climbing, full moon and night  skiing.

Bring your fat boards and expedition gear as we take you to a big line hunting safari in a vast wilderness of snowy crystal covered summits.  Set up a base camp tent at the foot of a library of sweet lines for the steep adventure of a lifetime.

We are purveyors of the finest pink pow,  Alaska gold,  fireweed fire pow and full moonshine.

Sled Skiing, sled shots, boosts, bumps and backcountry drop offs

Have a seat on our 800 Ski-doo as we boost you up to heli LZs around the pass for thousands of feet of powder turns, steep shots and airs. Lets do all the sled shots you can  swallow in a day then load up your winter camping gear in the toboggan for a fast trip to a epic Valdez amphitheater for boot packing couliors, fluted faces and super classic Chugach big lines.

Ski doo snow machine runs on Nicks Happy Valley, Sick Nicks, Berlin wall are $40 with a discount for multiple runs.

Python-Giovannis is $40. Skate park is $40 dollars and bro bowl-Girls is $40. School bus-Goodwills-Snatch Glacier is $40.

The world famous Books are $105, with camping gear $125.  The awesome Valley of the Tusk is $175 and $199 w/ camping gear or $350 RT.   Meteroite-Mr Clean is $200.   Tsaina and Tonsina Glaciers are $250.

Yurt in the pass Lodging

After slaying it and sluffing pow all day throw down in our mountain side yurt in the pass, log cabin lodge, ice climbers bivy, tree house or glacier camp accommodations with wood fired hot tub and sauna at the base of the 5,000 foot run Loveland. Oh yeah! (Opening in 2011)

Fall asleep watching the northern lights thru the ski-yurt’s skylight, dream of face shots and pole deep pow then awake to king crab omelets, blueberry pancakes and the purring of sleds warming up in the yard.

Other Services

Ask for downed aircraft, stuck snowmachine and stranded vehicle recovery pricing. We also do remote freight, fire wood, cabin supply, and fuel delivery. The snow cat is available for kicker and jib park construction plus event and competition support. We can rescue your pet and pack out big game. Fire wood is $250 a cord.

If your Heli gets grounded and your sick of waiting for an evacuation or you need a pick up and ride out for half of what your heli$ operator will charge you to return to base call us and we can try and get in and get you out. Write our number down 907-255-8887

Respect and mountain travel ethics

We do not operate snowmachine ski transportation/sled skiing on the snow cat trails or the terrain they access up Odyssey-moonlight basin. Snowcat trails are ski lifts going up and ski runs going down for families, locals and visitors. Please enjoy and explore all of Thompson pass but stay away from the locals loved snowcat skiing areas on your sleds.

Surviving and enjoying the mountains while avoiding causing conflict requires a education and experience in alpine travel. Learn good mountain skills, get good gear and good partners, take avalanche awareness, First aid, wilderness medicine and crevasse /high angle rescue courses …..then go get the treasure.

Set and respect good trails, boot packs and skin tracks. Boondork and highmark far away from sled-skiing areas and double up trails, “Slow down!!!” and “Stay on the trail!!!”. Get an 800 with at least a 151 track to roll up our steep trails. Please dont learn on our time, train up at home or build an easier trail off on your own.

Most all of the runs we do cross or access glacial terrain fraught with hidden crevasses, moats, bershrunds, seracs and cornices. Wear a harness and helmet, carry a ski rope, crampons, ice axe and crevasse / avalanche  rescue gear. Read our primer on mountain ethics and skills. Mountain Travel (link)

In the spirit of the Chugach and keeping with local Valdez tradition we offer the last self-guided backcountry powder riding transportation available. To ride with us sign a waiver, bring a shovel, avalanche beacon and probe and your own self rescue and insurance plans.
